Indiana Fever rookie guard Caitlin Clark has proven herself to be an exceptional 3-point shooter in the WNBA. On Thursday night, during a game against the Washington Mystics, Clark sank her 122nd 3-pointer of the season, surpassing Phoenix Mercury legend Diana Taurasi’s mark of 121 set in 2006 for the second-most 3-pointers made in a single WNBA season.
The record is still held by New York Liberty star Sabrina Ionescu, who made 128 3-pointers in 2023, but Clark now stands just behind her in the history books. This impressive achievement is yet another milestone in Clark’s remarkable rookie season, and with the Indiana Fever heading into the 2024 playoffs, even more 3-pointers are likely on the way for the standout rookie.
