Sometimes, that’s all it takes to decide the winner. Who Dey Nation still remembers. Joe Burrow raised his hands in the air when rookie Daijahn Anthony went for the interception. But immediately threw his helmet to the ground when he saw the referee giving the penalty. Patrick Mahomes had the last laugh with the game-deciding field goal. Now, a member of Dynasty, yes, the prime PatriotsRob Gronkowski, joins the raging debate.

During his recent appearance on Up & Adams Show with Kay Adams, the former TE said, “I mean I was double teamed um I was basically executed off the line of scrimmage half the time and five yards into the route and then they would call pass interference on me when I was trying to get the guy off of me, so yeah the Chiefs get way more calls than the Patriots.” But as the saying goes, the champions don’t make excuses. They still win. And despite not getting any calls in his favor, the TE won 4 Super Bowls.

Also, Patrick Mahomes doesn’t have a say in the referee’s decision. While fans bashed him left, right, and center, we shouldn’t forget that the Bengals had enough chances to score but missed on them. On the other hand, the Chiefs capitalized on the chances they got. Also, we have seen them hold their nerves in crunch situations.

The Gronk’s comments might be a bit over hyped here. Wondering why we say that. He said that he didn’t remember if his team got the calls or not, while saying that he was only talking for himself. He agreed that Brady might have got some calls during their reign.

The tight end added, “I used to just get pounded you know from the linebacker the way to the safety I used to get hammered the guys used to jump on my back and the ball would be thrown to me and there would be nothing called so uh I mean Tom might have gotten some calls though I, I got to say sometimes uh yeah I will have to ask him.

Looks like those situations popped into his mind when he was at the receiving end. But he brought up an interesting story during the conversation.

When Rob Gronkowski used WWE move in NFL

Who doesn’t know Dwayne Johnson, who goes by his moniker ‘The Rock’ in WWE? Famously called the ‘People’s Champion’, one of his moves is the people’s elbow. Rob Gronkowski certainly loves that move. Let’s take you all on a walk down memory lane.

It happened in the week 13 game of the 2017 season against the Buffalo Bills. Brady made the pass to Rob Gronkowski, but White intercepted. Immediately, the tight end jumped on him with his elbow pointed out. Talking to Kay Adams, the TE said, “Remember when I hit Tre’Davius White because he held me four times in one play and then Tom threw the interception to him and then I finally flipped out because that was the 50th time I got held that year so then I gave him the people’s elbow just like that like it was a WWE ring it was just you know a bang bang play I didn’t mean to do that but uh it just happened cuz I was frustrated by not getting any single calls at all.” The incident resulted in a concussion to White and one-game suspension for the TE.

An emotionally charged player that he was, Rob Gronkowski‘s comments throw a fresh perspective on the situation. However, the league needs more of cleaner plays and less of such controversial decisions. Stay tuned for such stories.
