Jennifer Lopez was mocked by fans after sharing a ‘cringe’ Father’s Day tribute for her husband Ben Affleck.

On Sunday, the mother-of-two treated her 247 million Instagram followers to a shirtless snap of Ben as she gushed over ‘all the amazing Papas out there!’

Upon tying the knot last year in July 2022, Ben became stepfather to her twins Max and Emme, 15, whom she shares with ex-husband, Marc Anthony.

Ben is also father to daughters Violet, 17, and Seraphina, 14, as well as son, Samuel, 11, whom he shares with ex-wife, Jennifer Garner.

In the caption of the post, J Lo, 53, penned, ‘Daddy Appreciation Post ✨ Happy Father’s Day Papa. And Happy Father’s Day to all the amazing Papas out there!! We love you and appreciate you more than you will ever know.’

Yet fans were left baffled by the choice of steamy snap, pointing out that it seemed to be more appropriate for Valentine’s Day.

Confused followers penned: ‘it gave me the ick’; ‘I don’t know why… but this post is somewhat cringe’; ‘Let’s see the back tat tho!’; ‘Got confused thought I’d opened Grindr’;

‘Why would you post a shower pic of your husband? That’s appreciating him as a dad? Weird. Lol’; ‘JLo it’s Father’s Day not Valentine’s!’ ‘Why would you post a picture of your husband half naked and then talk about Father’s Day?’

Some fans were quick to jump to her defence, however, calling on others to stop being ‘miserable.’
