Taylor Swift’s hardcore fans are attentive to even the smallest detail of the singer’s life, and since she began her romance with the Kansas City Chiefs tight end, he has also been the object of constant scrutiny from the media and fans.

This time, hawk-eyed fans spotted a mark on Kelce’s neck that they immediately labeled a hickey. The stir among the so-called “Swifties” was immediate, a large part of them amazed by the apparent display of passion between the lovers.

“A marc on Travis’ neck,” was one of the first comments, followed by others like “TAYLOR LEFT A HICKEY ON TRAVIS???? QUEENNNNNNN.” Astonished, one more asked, “WAIT TAYLOR GAVE TRAVIS A HICKEY?!?”

Some more pointed ones said things like, “So @tkelce got to 2nd base,” or “Did Tay get a bit wild, or did he just pinch his neck…?”.

Commenter Pat McAfee also threw his two cents into the issue. “It did look like he had a hickey right there on his neck. That made me think, ‘Him and Taylor are just having fun,'” he said on his podcast.

Amid the storm, there was no shortage of those who tried to find a more logical explanation for the mark: “It wasn’t there during warm-up. It’s a scrape from the game. C’mon guys, are we 12?”
