When appearing on the Howard Stern Show radio program, the host requested rapper Nick Cannon (42 years old) to list his 12 children in order of birth. Nick Cannon couldn’t fulfill this challenge as he forgot to mention his newborn daughter Onyx.

While the remarks were treated lightly on the radio show, appalled listeners turned to Twitter to denounce it as an instance of misogyny, accusing Cannon of objectifying women as mere vessels for bearing his children.

One fan tweeted: “Isn’t this harassment?? Screw Nick Cannon. This is so rude & uncalled for. Taylor Swift is dominating the world right now & he wants to undermine that through reproductive coercion like all men who want their women to stay at home & care for babies when they’re at the peak of success [sic].”

Others added: ‘Imagine if he’d said that The Rock can now carry his baby, or Jason Momoa. He wouldn’t, right? Even if they could carry babies. And it’s because a man won’t violate another man’s bodily autonomy without expecting a fight. But a woman? Available to every man, right? No consent?’;

While the comments were laughed off on the radio show, shocked listeners took to Twitter to claim it was an example of misogyny

“First of all, she’s an amazing songwriter, and what I do love about Taylor Swift is the fact that she has been so open and vulnerable with all of her music since she was a young girl,” Cannon said.

He added, “And, she’s kinda like me. Me and Taylor’s numbers are very similar when we’re talking about being out here in these streets.”

Stern chimed in, expressing his enthusiasm about the idea of having a baby with Taylor Swift, remarking that he thinks it would be ‘fantastic.’

Back in 2016, Cannon was asked about Swift’s feud with Kim Kardashian, and he said, “I’m gonna go with Taylor, all day. That’s an easy one.”
