The Angel Reese-Caitlin Clark rivalry has been one of the most talked about storylines in women’s basketball this year. While most of the headlines have revolved around the players’ performances on the court, Reese’s recent post has fans questioning the Chicago Sky star’s “woe is me” demeanor.
On Thursday, Reese posted a message on her X account criticizing the media for creating a narrative against her and called for a change. She also accused the media of benefiting from her pain over the last two years.

Reese’s post led to a strong reaction from basketball fans on social media, with many pointing to her previous Caitlin Clark taunts. Some fans went as far as to say the dramatic post is completely out of line with how she has conducted herself over the last 18 months.
One fan shared a post from Angel Reese’s X account which shows the former LSU player provoking Clark with the “You can’t see me” hand-to-the-face gesture made famous by WWE star John Cena:
“Why is this still up then?”
Another video of Reese has emerged of her disrespecting Clark after the LSU Tigers won the women’s NCAA national championship in 2023.
“What happened to u being the one who disrespects people ???,” the fan said.
“You literally said you would take on the villain role and now you’re crying when you’re treated like a villain?,” stated another fan.
“Yeah, I’m not reading all that, but Clark is better,” commented another fan.
“The victim tour has begun,” says a fan.
“When she wins she taunts. When she loses she the victim,” stated another fan.
“Woe is me” strikes again…….Angel Reese is one interesting person” said a fan.
Reese’s earlier taunts towards Clark left many fans surprised that the forward is now posting about changing how players are treated in the league.
