Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner‘s child Fin debuted a brand-new hair makeover during an outing with their mom, showing off a retro vibe.

Fin, 15, rocked short, jet-black locks that were slicked back on the sides while out and about in Los Angeles with Jennifer, 52, on Sunday, October 13.

Ben, 52, and Jen’s middle child kept things casual in a white T-shirt and faded jeans with a blue and white windbreaker.

Fin appeared to be growing out their hair after getting a buzzcut in February. Later that month, they had their locks dyed bright red.

Their hair was noticeably longer than when the teen and their mother were photographed at a Los Angeles Department of Motor Vehicles office on August 15, when they were getting their milestone driver’s permit.

Fin who was born Seraphina Affleck revealed their new name while speaking at their maternal grandfather’s memorial service on March 30, telling mourners, “Hello, my name is Fin Affleck,” while wearing a black menswear suit before reading a Bible verse.

In addition to Fin, Ben and Jennifer share an adult daughter, Violet, and son Samuel.

The latest mother and child outing comes amid Ben’s split from estranged wife Jennifer Lopez. The “On the Floor” singer, 55, filed for divorce to end their two-year marriage on August 20, which fell on the second anniversary of their lavish Georgia wedding.

After the filing, Garner set up a “mercy squad” to check up on Ben to ensure he didn’t slip back into bad old habits, a source told In Touch on September 20.

“Ben may come across looking all happy and cheery. And he is, for the most part, but he certainly has his down moments,” the insider explained. “As much as he was relieved to escape this marriage, the divorce has still taken a toll on him. His reputation has taken a huge hit and he’s grappling with a lot of guilt.”

“That’s the main reason you’re seeing Jen going over there nearly every day to make sure he’s okay. His mother, his brother and his close friends, like Matt Damon, are helping out too,” the insider added of his ex-wife and the rest of the “mercy squad.”

“They’re all in touch with him and with each other,” the source revealed. “They’re very much a team and acting as a de facto support group for him. If they’re seeing a thing to worry about, they alert each other immediately. Ben knows they’re all in touch, but he doesn’t know the extent of it.”

When Jennifer isn’t helping tend to ex Ben’s needs, she’s spending time with Fin and Samuel, 12, now that daughter Violet, 18, moved away to college. She started her freshman year at Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut, in August.

Violet’s college drop-off was a family affair, as she was joined by her parents and Fin while going out to dinner in New Haven on August 18. Ben, Jen and Fin landed back in Los Angeles via a private jet on August 20, hours before J. Lo filed for divorce.
