Exes Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck may be teaming up for a film project.

The popular actress, 51, is in talks to star in Animals, a Netflix film directed by Affleck, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The plot focuses on a mayoral candidate and his wife, whose son is kidnapped.

Due to the nature of the crime and politics, the couple have no choice but to get their hands dirty as they try to save their child

Ben, 51, would direct the crime thriller under his and Matt’s Artists Equity banner. The film also stars Matt Damon.

If talks go as hoped, production could begin in March.

The two famous exes have starred in several films together, including 2001’s Pearl Harbor, 2003’s Daredevil and the 2005 spinoff, Electra.

The Emmy nominee reprised the Electra character for the upcoming Deadpool and Wolverine with Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman.

The Sci-Fi thriller is set for release in July.

If she signs on the dotted line for Animals, it would be the first time Jennifer acted in a film directed by the Oscar winner.

The Alias star is no stranger to Netflix, starring in the popular time-travel thriller The Adam Project with Ryan Reynolds.

She has also starred in the family friendly Yes Day and most recently Family Switch.

Ben and Matt starred in the Golden Globe nominated Air, which Ben also directed.

Ben and Jen married in 2005 and divorced in 2018, but have remained friendly as they raise their three kids, Violet, 18, Seraphina, 15 and Sam, 11.

The Argo actor and director married Jennifer Lopez, 54, in Las Vegas in July 2022, before walking down the aisle again in a lavish ceremony in August of that year. Jennifer Garner has been in a relationship with Cali Group CEO John Miller since 2018.

The Save the Children ambassador recently visited an underfunded school in the Navajo Nation in New Mexico. While there, she learned the local foodbank receives product from her Once Upon a Farm company.

‘An educator from San Juan County told Mark (Shriver) and me, “You dream of a silver bullet showing up to help us feed these kids, get them started on the right foot in school, especially in their early years. Save the Children is our silver bullet.”‘

The news comes as Ben’s wife Jennifer Lopez has been sharing details about their relationship amid her press tour for her new film, album, and documentary.

Appearing on The Kyle And Jackie O Show on Thursday, Jennifer explained it took her almost two decades to ‘figure herself out’ before the ‘universe opened up’ and allowed her to reunite with her ex lover.

‘I fell in love with the love of my life [earlier in my life] and for whatever reasons… we needed to grow and do other things,’ she began.

‘We both went off and had children with other people and other relationships but, you know, in mind I kind of had it like, “Oh, that was kind of the one” and so when we got back together.

‘I couldn’t believe it and I don’t think he could either. It’s not something we ever planned. We really had moved on with our lives but when we reconnected, it was almost instant and we just knew.’

The couple reunited in July 2021 and went on to wed in Las Vegas in July 2022

Jennifer went on to describe her personal journey between relationships with Ben, and how having children made her a better person.

‘I was on a real journey ever since my kids were born,’ said the popstar, who shares twins Max and Emme, 16, with ex Marc Anthony.

Ben is also father to two teenage daughters – Violet, 18, and Seraphina, aka Fin, 15 – from his decade-long marriage to Jennifer Garner, which ended in 2018.

The I’m Real hitmaker said she spent time during her marriage to Marc developing her sense of self, explaining: ‘[I was trying] to be better and figure myself out and be the best person I can be so I can be a great mum, and a great example for them.’

‘Then when I got divorced, it kind of kick-started another phase of me trying to figure out myself and relationships and things like that,’ she continued.

Following her divorce, Jennifer endured a string of failed relationships and eventually decided to remain single.

It was at that point that the songstress finally rekindled romance with Ben.

‘I was like, ‘I’m good on my own, I’m fine, I love my life”. And when you get to that place, I think that’s when the universe kind of opened up to me and was like, “OK now you’re ready”,’ she said.
