NFL fans are accusing Tom Brady and the New England Patriots of being petty poor sports after noticing a strange editing job in an episode of “The Dynasty” docuseries.

One of the episodes from the highly-anticipated Apple TV+ series looked back on the New England Patriots’ 41-33 loss to the Nick Foles-led Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl 52. The most memorable play of that game, “The Philly Special” saw Foles catch a TD pass from tight end Trey Burton on a trick play.

Legendary sports commentator Al Michaels, who was calling the game for NBC, did not disappoint in his delivery of the iconic play with three simple words: “CAUGHT! FOLES! TOUCHDOWN!”

But Twitter/X user Todd Orodenker noticed something odd about the showing of Foles’ TD reception on “The Dynasty.” Go to the 0:41 mark of his video, and you’ll see that they edited out Michaels’ mention of Foles’ name

After this weird editing job was picked up on social media, fans accused Brady and the New England Patriots of being poor sports all these years later:

Earlier in the second quarter, Brady dropped a pass from Danny Amendola on a crafty trick play that would have given the Patriots a fresh set of downs. Instead, New England turned the ball over on downs one play later.

Perhaps Brady and his dynastic New England Patriots were just bitter over the fact that Foles had the better hands that day?

Brady Had A Historic Performance In New England Patriots’ Super Bowl 52 Loss

Though the New England Patriots lost that game 41-33, Brady still put together an all-time great performance in Super Bowl 52. He completed 28 of 48 pass attempts for 505 yards (a Super Bowl record), three touchdowns and zero interceptions.

Brady was strip-sacked late in the game by Brandon Graham which allowed Philly to essentially ice the game, but TB12 cannot take the blame for that loss whatsoever.

The 2017 league MVP picked apart one of the league’s best defenses throughout most of the game. Ultimately, it was the Patriots’ woeful defense (and, ahem, Bill Belichick’s awful decision to bench Malcolm Butler) that cost the team that game.

At any rate, the New England Patriots would redeem themselves by winning Super Bowl 53 one year later over the Los Angeles Rams. With that, the Patriots had finally secured their sixth Super Bowl ring.
