San Francisco 49ers superstar running back Christian McCaffrey is now a married man.

On Saturday, Christian McCaffrey tied the knot with girlfriend Olivia Culpo in Watch Hill, Rhode Island. The second-generation running back and the 2012 Miss Universe winner have been together since 2019.

The 49ers may have lost a heartbreaker to the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl 58, but Christian McCaffrey’s 2024 has been amazing otherwise. Aside from getting married to Culpo, he also recently received a two-year contract extension worth $38 million.

McCaffrey was also named the cover athlete for the upcoming EA Sports “Madden NFL 25” video game. This makes him the first 49ers player to grace the cover since Garrison Hearst for “Madden NFL 99.”

Last season, McCaffrey won the rushing title with 1,459 yards and 14 touchdowns to go along with 67 receptions for 564 yards and seven touchdowns. “Run CMC” hit 2,000 yards of offense for the second time in his career (2,023) and recorded a career-high 21 total touchdowns.

In the postseason, McCaffrey had 268 rushing yards, four touchdowns and 420 yards of offense. San Fran’s championship dreams ended in overtime of Super Bowl 58 when Patrick Mahomes hit Mecole Hardman for the game-winning score.

The 49ers’ quest to redemption will begin on Sept. 9, when they welcome old friend Aaron Rodgers and the New York Jets to Levi’s Stadium on “Monday Night Football.”

Rodgers and the 49ers had plenty of memorable clashes during his run with the Green Bay Packers, including four playoff showdowns. The 49ers won them all, including Rodgers’ final playoff game as a Packer in January 2022.

Chances are that Week 1 will mark the last-ever showdown between Rodgers and his boyhood team.
