Affleck’s ex-wife has been his supporter amid marital crisis with Jennifer Lopez

Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck remain in the spotlight for their marital problems that point to a potential divorce, in a situation where the actor has found refuge in his ex-wife Jennifer Garner, with whom he has been spotted in recent days.

Garner and Affleck were together for 13 years and had three children, until they divorced in 2015, however, since ending their relationship she has been forced to try to clean up her addiction, rehab and relapse problems.

According to sources consulted by the Daily Mail, Garner‘s patience for backing Affleck and even helping to save his marriage with JLo is starting to wear thin.

“It was starting to get too painful for her because it was bringing back so many memories of their divorce,” revealed one of the sources close to Garner, who added that “Jen has reached a point where she’s told him, ‘I’m sorry, figure this out for yourself’.”

According to the source, Jennifer Garner is only looking out for Ben Affleck’s happiness and fully supports their relationship, which is why they have been seen together for so long, to find a solution and stability, which would also be beneficial for their children together: Violet, 18, Seraphine, 15, and Samuel, 12.

“She is one of the few women who can talk to him and keep him from going back into the abyss of his addiction,” said the source, who added that Garner fears her ex-partner will relapse, a fear also shared by Ben Affleck’s best friend Matt Damon.

It seems only a matter of time before Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck officially sign their divorce papers, as in practice they have been separated for quite some time now, a source confirmed to Page Six.

According to the source, they have been de facto separated since at least March, which became more noticeable after Ben Affleck was absent from several high-profile events and did not accompany JLo, such as the Met Gala, the premiere of the film Atlas starring Lopez, or the Boricua’s sudden trip to Italy.
