Ben Affleck got his Air Jordan sneakers soaked when stepping in a puddle in rainy Los Angeles on Thursday. But the 51-year-old actor cleverly managed to not drop his iced coffee.

The star was joined by his 11-year-old son, Samuel, as they braved the stormy weather.

The Good Will Hunting star – who recently enjoyed a joint family outing with Jennifer Lopez and ex-wife Jennifer Garner – and his boy were crossing a soggy  street.

The Oscar-winner dressed down in a pair of classic denim blue jeans as well as a warm, patterned cardigan.

He added a plain, gray shirt underneath and layered the ensemble with a black jacket that he chose to leave unzipped at the front.

At one point, Affleck was seen carrying a roller backpack in his hand to prevent the item from getting to wet.

In his spare hand, the star also held a large iced coffee to help him stay energized during the weekday outing.

Ben notably shares Samuel, as well as daughters Violet, 18, and Seraphina, 15, with ex-wife Jennifer Garner. The pair were married from 2005 until their divorce was finalized in 2018.

The Gone Girl actor has since tied the knot with singer Jennifer Lopez in 2022 – after the couple had previously dated in the early 2000s.

Upon marrying, he also became stepfather to the On The Floor singer’s twins, Max and Emme, 15 – whom she welcomed with ex-husband Marc Anthony.

Over the weekend on Sunday, Ben was spotted on a joint family outing with their children, as well as wife Jennifer and his ex-wife, Jennifer Garner.

While the group left a musical performance in L.A., the 13 Going On 30 star was seen walking ahead with son Samuel and daughter Seraphina.

A few feet behind, Affleck and Lopez were also seen leaving the venue while Emme held a lighthearted conversation with Ben.

A source recently opened up to Us Weekly about the blended family’s co-parenting relationship late last month in January.

‘Jennifer, Jen and Ben have had a great relationship for quite some time now.’

‘They know there are going to be plenty of times they’ll all be attending the same events together, whether that’s school performances, sports, etc.’

‘They communicate rather frequently when it comes to their kids, scheduling plans, etc. They know the ones who benefit the most are the children and that’s all they care about,’ the insider continued.

2024 has been a busy year for Ben as well as wife, Jennifer, and the lovebirds recently made a glamorous appearance at the Golden Globes last month.

Ben also has a number of upcoming projects under his belt, including The Instigators, which is currently in post-production.

The actor is one of the producers on the movie – which stars Matt Damon, Casey Affleck, Ron Perlman and Paul Walter Hauser.

The premise of the film – which was also co-written by Casey Affleck – follows, ‘two robbers who must go on the run with the help of one of their therapists after a theft doesn’t go as planned,’ per an IMDB synopsis. 

The Air star is also one of the producers on Unstoppable: The Anthony Robles Story – which notably stars wife Jennifer Lopez and Jharrel Jerome.

The songstress is also working hard while preparing for the release of her next album titled This Is Me…Now. The LP is slated to drop later this month on February 16.

On the same day, This Is Me…Now: A Love Story will also be released on Amazon Prime Video, and is a narrative musical film to accompany the star’s ninth studio album.

Last month, Lopez dropped a music video for the single, Can’t Get Enough, with some lyrics seemingly referencing to her relationship with Affleck.

‘Is this real life? Too good to be true/Take me all night/I can still feel the passion in your eyes. I’m so in love with you,’ Jennifer could be heard singing on the track.

While talking to Variety ahead of the music video’s release late last month, she said, ‘I think it might surprise some people. It’s definitely kind of a meta story about the journey that it takes to get from heartbreak back to love.’

When the interviewer joked that she has ‘experienced a few weddings,’ Jennifer replied with, ‘I have. I am somewhat of an expert, you could say, in a weird way. Not so much on marriage, but on weddings.’

‘I don’t take myself too seriously. I think that life is a crazy journey where you fall down and you get back up, and you keep trying and you never give up.’
