Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark, whose college rivalry has carried over to the pros this year, donned the same uniform for the first time Saturday at the WNBA All-Star Game, and Reese hopes it won’t be the last time they’re teammates.
“It’s so cool. I know when she gets the ball I’m running to look for the ball because I know she’s gonna throw it,” Reese said of Clark during an ABC interview Saturday night.
“So, she’s been great to play with. The future, we’re gonna be playing with each other a lot. Hopefully in four years we can be Olympians together.”

A crowed of 16,407 fans packed the Footprint Center in Phoenix as Reese, Clark and Team WNBA took out Team USA, 117-109.
Reese sang somewhat of a different tune about teaming with Clark the day before the All-Star game.
“Everybody can wear their ‘get along’ shirts for one day at least,” she said in an interview Friday.

Reese and Clark went toe-to-toe when they were both members of the Big Ten conference, as Reese spent her first two collegiate seasons with Maryland before transferring to LSU, while Clark broke the all-time NCAA scoring record over four years with Iowa.
LSU then defeated Iowa in the 2023 national championship game, during which Reese taunted Clark with the same John Cena “you can’t see me” hand gesture Clark previously used.
Clark and Iowa got their revenge in this year’s Elite Eight before falling to South Carolina in the title game.

They’ve had more high-profile clashes in the WNBA after Clark went No. 1 in the draft to the Fever and Reese was selected No. 7 overall by the Sky.
The Fever won the first two matchups before the Sky’s June 23 win in Chicago, and they’ll meet once more Aug. 30.
One of the most notable moments from their pro matchups came on June 16, when Reese whacked Clark in the head while trying to block her shot, getting called for a flagrant foul.

That instance followed a play from their previous game where the Sky’s Chennedy Carter toppled Clark to the ground with a hip-check, which was met with Reese jumping off the bench in applause.
Due to the Olympic break, Reese and Clark both have some vacation time before getting back into the swing of things on Aug. 15 and 16, respectively.
Clark will seemingly try to get off her feet after reminiscing about her first All-Star appearance.
“Such a fun first All Star experience in Phoenix!! The fans and city were amazing… Now time for some rest and relaxation 🙂 see you all in a month,” Clark wrote on X.
