The author of the biographical book Elon Musk published a rare photo of the South African-born billionaire’s kitchen, making many people excited.
Billionaire Elon Musk’s kitchen – Photo: X
Mr. Walter Isaacson, former CEO of CNN and author of Mr. Elon Musk’s biography, posted the above photo on social network X on August 7, 2023. Pictured is part of the kitchen and living room.
“In 2020, Mr. Musk decided to sell 5 large houses to get a 2-bedroom Spartan house as his main residence in Boca Chica, Texas – where we will meet, he will sit at the wooden table hey and call (me),” the post content stated.
The small house is located near the SpaceX spacecraft launch site – also the name of the technology corporation with the mission of space exploration founded by Mr. Musk.
Based on published images, TCD Company (USA) determined that the house was built in an open architectural style. And viewers can see a number of other items such as books, tables and chairs, refrigerators, kitchen counters and a model rocket.
“I’m selling almost every physical asset. (I) will not own a house,” Mr. Musk declared on X in 2020.
Mr. Musk sold his entire home in the Los Angeles area. His last mansion was located in San Francisco, sold for nearly 30 million USD at the end of 2021.
The 52-year-old billionaire’s ex-lover, singer Grimes, also confirmed that Mr. Musk lives very simply, “not living like a billionaire.”
No stranger to living below his means, as a college student, the CEO of Tesla Group spent only $1 a day on food, focusing on necessities and sustainable consumption.
The photo received many different reactions, but most people expressed surprise because they did not think that Mr. Musk was so frugal. Especially when compared to the huge amount of assets he owns.
“The richest person in the world actually lives here. This shows how much he cares about others and his own lifestyle,” one user commented.
