Social media is going crazy over a photo of retired NFL quarterback Tom Brady looking absolutely shredded at the age of 46.

Brady announced his retirement from football one year ago, but he hasn’t used his post-playing career as an excuse to get out of shape. The ML Football X/Twitter shared a photo of the seven-time Super Bowl champion working out, and he certainly looks like somebody who’s still in prime game shape:

Brady initially retired after his age-41 season in 2020, only to announce 40 days later that he was coming back for another season. Brady led the Bucs to a second straight NFC South division crown in his swan song year, albeit with a disappointing 8-9 record.

The Bucs were throttled by the Dallas Cowboys 31-14 on Super Wild Card Weekend, however, and Brady announced his retirement a couple of weeks later.

There was speculation that the Las Vegas Raiders and San Francisco 49ers would both pursue Brady in 2023 free agency, but he retired before either team had the opportunity.

Brady took a year away from football in his first year of retirement. The future Hall of Fame inductee will begin his broadcasting career with FOX next season, working alongside play-by-play voice Kevin Burkhardt.
